ORC Pit to Paradise: Week Three

Here’s the thing about progress: sometimes it’s invisible. This week, that was  especially true. We worked on the backyard a lot this weekend, but it still looks basically untouched. A lot of our efforts went to designing and ordering materials for the treehouse, but most of our time went to helping a neighbor load about two tons of flagstone over the course of three days. I’ve been resting my overworked right hand, so I only pulled as many weeds as my left hand could get while waiting for Patrick to need my help with the treehouse. Our budget is blown because the playset is about twice as big as originally planned, and completely overbuilt. 

We’ve reached the point in the challenge where it’s time to put on my big girl pants and suck it up, so instead of giving more excuses, I’ll dump some random pictures from this week and rest up for tomorrow, when I plan to crush the rest of the weeds.
